Fiona Hamilton-Fairley

Bentalls run Kids' Cookery Workshops during the school holidays in conjunction with local charity The Kids’ Cookery School (Registered Charity Number: 1079543). The Kids' Cookery School (KCS) exists to give children and young people the skills and knowledge needed to make healthy food choices for themselves; KCS empowers children and young people so that they can look forward to a healthier future.

Fiona, CEO and Principal of KCS, runs all of Bentalls cookery workshops and frequently demonstrates in the Living Kitchen too, showing us how to make healthy meals for the family from scratch and how to involve children in cooking. Fiona is a passionate food campaigner and cookery teacher, believing that the only way to get people to eat healthier food is to give them the skills and information they need to make good choices for themselves.

Fiona manages the team at KCS on a daily basis and coordinates outreach workshops in schools and community centres. She particularly enjoys training staff in schools and community centres to deliver cookery clubs. Fiona is a published cookery writer and contributes regularly to printed publications. She has spoken about children's food and cookery on television and radio broadcasts and at numerous conferences.
